Three men in ‘police uniform-like clothing’ committed a house robbery this morning at approximately 7.15 am on Jelle Zijlstrastraat in Hoofddorp.

The robbers were three white men, around 1.75 m tall. They knocked on the door of a woman’s house at 7.15 a.m. and because she assumed that they were police officers, she let them in. Once inside, the perpetrators tied her up and started searching her house for about fifteen minutes. After that, they ran away. It is not yet clear if they have taken something from the house.

The woman was so upset, that she cannot say with certainty whether the men were actually wearing a police uniform or if they were just outfits that resembled police uniforms.

The woman also said that the men had objects that looked like firearms. Because it is not clear whether these are real or fake weapons, a Burgernet (citizen’s network) description has been circulated stating that if you see them, DON’T approach them by yourselves.
