The Concours Hippique Haarlemmermeer is there again. From Friday, June 16 to Sunday, June 18, 2017, it’s full enjoyment in the Haarlemmermeerse Bos in Hoofddorp.

Hystory

Almost as old as the polder itself: the Concours Hippique in Hoofddorp. It was organized for the first time at the beginning of the 20th century for the various horse riders in Haarlemmermeer. Due to the joint efforts of the members of these associations, a number of farmers and involved citizens, developed an annual event.

A permanent  competition space was established, at the end of the Concourslaan, specially equipped for equestrian sports and with a large stand.

Later the event was set up in a new stly in the newly constructed Haarlemmermeer Forest.

Horses

During the Hippique Competition, the forest is transformed into a top accommodation for horse riding. In addition to the existing permanent horse rack, with Agterberg bottom, five more treadmills are being built. The jumping matches are held in the horse rack. Spectators get great views from the stands along the main ring. Here’s also the VIP tent for the sponsors.

Entertainment

In addition to the equestrian races, a main stage is set up for entertainment performances, there will be the traditional Strodorp and this year there also be a cozy Foodtruck Festival, a children’s Indian village and a large public party.

In short, all the ingredients for a fantastic equestrian weekend are present.
