Comedians

Donal Vaughan

Triple-Award winning comedian Donal Vaughan, started comedy in 2012 and hasn’t looked back since. The Dublin-born comic has gigged in 20 countries all around the world. When not making fun of himself, the BSc Zoologist jests about science and the Natural world. “His hilarious and informative takes on science are why he’s a favourite.” Bright Club Dublin. He regularly tours theatres and festivals around the UK and Ireland with his science, comedy children’s show Science Magic.

Armed with “a distinctive, joke-heavy set with some strongly offbeat lines.” (Chortle), the self-deprecating stand up “owns the stage with his sharp, punchy lines that never fails to hit home.” (Enterainment.ie). He’s funny, rude, clever and sharp…. His descriptions were sharply observed, detailed and well-constructed. He builds gag on gag sequences that skilfully develop an excellent set (Fringe Review).

Richard Walker

I’ve been living in Amsterdam so long I thought I was Dutch but then I looked at my pass-port and it turns out I’m British. Sorry.

Kuriakose Vaisian

Kuriakose Vaisian has been doing stand-up for more than five years now, joking about his life, his wife, his family at large, and Jesus Christ. That’s a joke of course; he never makes jokes about his wife. He’s performed at multiple cities across India, including Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Cochin, alongside some of the biggest names in the Indian comedy scene, such as Kanan Gill, Kenny Sebastian, Naveen Richard and Biswa Kalyan Rath. Kuria has taken part in various comedy competitions including the PayTM Insider Live Mic sessions as well as Comedy Central India’s Sterling Reserve Comedy Project with Varun Thakur, in which he finished second.

Kuria’s humour is a mix of observational and anecdotal, drawing a lot of inspiration from his own life and the things that happen around him. He’s got an easy, laidback style that makes him relatable and accessible, with audiences taking to him the moment he steps on stage.

Lara Mikocki

Bio: Lara has the charm of wind from a toddler’s behind, and a burp from its front. Living in Amsterdam, but hailing from Australia with Austrian parents, she is a bo-nafide human mongrel that has spelling and identity issues. It’s ok, she doesn’t bite, she only nibbles at your funny bone. Shell tackle mental health and anything to do with the butt – she’s a derrière connoisseur. That was hard to spell. See you on the dance floor!

Kenji Loe

Kenji Loe was born in Suriname but moved to Amsterdam when he was twelve. He didn’t choose Amsterdam, the city chose him. Come listen to his hilarious story from the rainforests of Suriname to the mean streets of Amsterdam and how the pandemic turned him into the one of the latest up-and-coming comics to watch from scene.

Georges Degoumois

George Degoumois is a young man from Switzerland. In his stand-up, he talks about what it’s like to be a young man from Switzerland. After his shows, many people have commented that George is undoubtedly a young man from Switzerland.
