Bystanders in Hoofddorp chased and caught a man who had robbed a woman of her wallet. The street robbery happened on February the 14th afternoon on the Marktlaan in Hoofddorp.

The 43-year-old offender from Hoofddorp ran away on foot. The victim called for help and several bystanders started the pursuit. “They discovered the man on the Hoofdweg,” reports the police. The police then arrested the perpetrator and transferred him to the office.

The man did not have the wallet with him when he was arrested. This was found later by a police dog in a garden along the Hoofdweg.

The perpetrator is known in the field of street robberies by the police.

The investigation is still ongoing and the police are looking for witnesses.
